Cut resistance standards for protective gloves:
ANSI/ISEA 105 ("US National Standard for Hand Protection") is an American standard. According to ANSI/ISEA 105, gloves and other cutting protective clothing are rated according to a consistent digital rating scheme for mechanical, thermal, chemical, flexibility and other performance criteria. ANSI/ISEA is self-regulating, but has strict guidelines for testing methods.
EU Standard EN 388 ("Mechanical Hazard Protective Gloves") has rated protective gloves and other cutting protective clothing in terms of puncture resistance, tear resistance, blade cutting resistance and abrasion resistance, and the relevant information is shown in the pictogram.
